New Management Licence System
We've replaced the per product licence system with a new global Management Licence system to make things easier for you to chop and change depending on your requirements.
The old licence system meant that you needed to purchase KMS, Branches and vTag licences separately. The new system means you just purchase a single management licence which can be used across all three management products as required.
So much easier.
Existing users will have had their licences transferred automatically across to the new system and can now use their licences across any of the three management systems.
We've also added a simple licence view screen under 'account' so that you can see how many licences you have and where you have used them.
As before, all the management products continue to have two free licences so you can try out the systems without taking the plunge !

vTags Launched
We've started to go live with Kimtag vTags. vTags allows you to create 'virtual' addresses for your Kimtag so that you can create multiple QR Codes, NFC Tags and direct links. Each vTag's performance can then be compared in your stats.
For example, you may want to create a vTag QR Code for your Kimtag for an ad campaign or your email footer. You can then track the number of connection page views (or autoconnects) for that specific placement.
You can even add vTags on Branches to create a huge connection management and tracking system with multiple Kimtags (KMS), multiple branches and multiple vTags.
Easy to use, just click on the vTag tab within settings and add a vTag. All Kimtag accounts come with two free vTag licences and more can be purchased from the Kimtag Store.
All QR Code and NFC stickers purchased from the Kimtag Store are now programmed with vTags and include all the required vTag licences.
For more information on the comparison between vTags, KMS and Branches, see our creating multiple Kimtags comparison page.

No NFC For Apple's iPhone 4S - Roll on iPhone 5 !
So the iPhone 5 isn't. Yet. And neither is iPhone NFC.
Clearly, the ultimate success and speed of adoption of NFC isn't solely dependent on the iPhone. Far from it. However, support for NFC within the iPhone would go a long way to increasing awareness and pushing all other phone manufacturers to follow suit.
An update of the iPhone 4 was never likely to have NFC built in. And in a way, we'd argue that the delay now in the release of the iPhone 5 means that NFC support in the next 'real' model is much more likely. Most industry commentators had reckoned that an iPhone 5 release now would not have had NFC support so this delay almost certainly changes the odds.
In fact, by the time the iPhone 5 does get released, NFC support would be something of an absolute requirement.
Now, if we can just find out when that would be...
