A QR Code For Your CV

We've had a number of people asking us recently how to set up Kimtag for their CV. It's a great idea and would make any Curriculum Vitae stand out.

There are a couple of ways to do this.

The easiest way to do it is to create a specific Kimtag just for your CV. Say, 'yourname_cv'. Add just a single Custom Link to your online CV and change the title of that connection to 'My CV' (or similar). Then enable autoconnect and download your QR Code and add to your CV. You've then got a QR Code which will point to your online CV and you can change your link whenever and as many times you like.

The second way is to set up a normal Kimtag connection page for yourself and add a number of links. Perhaps to examples of your work, or (if they are clean) your blog, social networks, email address and so on. Gives a prospective employer the ability to contact you how they choose.

You can always flip between the two options just by enabling or disabling autoconnect.

Make sure your QR Code is printed clearly and, if possible, give it a quick test. Would be nothing worse that printing a QR Code and then finding it didn't work properly.

Surely must be a great talking point and if you are applying for a job in PR, marketing or any technical related subject, it'll make you look well ahead of the game !
